If you want to live longer, look younger and feel better, then paying attention to your liver, kidneys, and colon is vital, these three organs can either hinder or help your health.

If you have been neglecting your liver, it will not function well. Toxins and free radicals will build up which will show on your skin as well have an effect on your hormones, not to mention unwanted weight-gain. Physical signs and symptom’s of poor liver function include rosacea, acne, skin rashes, spots, saggy and itchy skin. Keep in mind nutrition plays a huge role in making the liver function optimally, and in return will have an effect on a clear and glowing complexion.

Try including liver loving foods in your diet such as fresh fruit, veg, nuts, seeds, lean protein, green juice’s and gluten free grains as well detoxifying dandelion root, milk thistle and nettle herbs to help protect and stimulate your liver.  Even though I love a wine as much as many, sip alcohol in moderation and keep your toxic intake of processed/ packaged foods to a minimal, your skin and scales will thank you for it.

Your colon aka gut plays a huge part on your overall health and wellness. Poor digestion has both inner/outer signs and symptoms. Bloating, toilet troubles, headaches, abdominal pain, foggy brain, heart burn and acid reflux stem from what is going on inside your gut. From a physical stand point blotchy skin and break outs around your chin, cheeks and forehead, not to mention poor absorption of vital nutrients will increase oxidative stress which contributes ageing and illness.

A diet free from refined sugar, dairy, and gluten will have a profound effect on how you feel and look, these ingredients massively will compromise your colon, leading to many inner and outer symptoms , adding gut friendly foods and supplements to your diet will boost friendly bacteria and help promote a clean colon and clear skin. Foods and supplements to include are aloe vera juice, probiotics, L-glutamine, digestive enzymes, flax seeds, chia seeds, gluten free oats, green leafy vegetables, legumes, bone broth, blue berries, bananas, miso soup, seaweed, and sweet vegetables like sweet potatoes, beets, and carrots.

Your kidneys main function is removing waste products from your blood and regulating water fluid levels. Even though these little bean shaped organs do not seem like an important part of your health, problems can seem subtle and many people neglect and don’t pay any attention to them. However poor kidney function can cause an array of inner/outer signs and symptoms.

Inner signs include urinations difficulties, nausea/vomiting, pain in your lower back or legs, fatigue and lethargy. Physical symptoms include puffy eyes, under eye bags, prominent wrinkles around your eyes, or swollen feet, face, or hands. Firstly it is so important to constantly cleanse your kidneys, meaning drink up!  I’m talking at least 1L of purified water daily, personally I love adding sliced lemons or cucumbers/berries to my water for added nutrients and taste, making it easier to sip. This will automatically improve your kidney’s function, so if you suffer from any of those symptoms, day by day they will diminish with water intake.

Secondly compromised kidneys stems from a acidic environment meaning way to much refined sugar, processed/packaged foods, red meat, alcohol, coffee, cakes, cookies and crisps, basically too much of anything you don’t find in the produce section. Check the internet with many sources of alkaline and acidic food charts.

So if you want to spring out of bed, feel energised, banish bloat, clear up skin, boost immunity  live longer, feel better and look younger, than take care of your kidneys, colon and liver, they will thank you for it.
